i did a water change today. this evening my tank was all milky white. i found that the astrea snails are pushing out this milky stuff. i took them out to see what they do.they are all alive and moving.does anyonr know what is happening???thanks

They are spawning. Leave them alone. lol

should i put them back into the tank?its so cloudy won"t that bother the other fish?

Yes. I would put them back. The fish will think they are at a buffet

how long will it take for my tank to clear out? will the milky stuff do anything to my cemical balance?sorry to be such a pain,never had this happen scared me thought my tank was crashing. thank you very mush for answering

I'm surprised you aren't getting more answers. :( It shouldn't take to long for the tank to clear. If you are really that worried, do a waterchange. I have had it in my tank only once. I would love to see it again. Nature at it's best. :)

LOL, well there's not a whole lot else to say. I have no idea how long it will take to clear. I'm guessing it's probably pretty clear by now. Do a water change if you're worried.

Let it take it course. The milky water will go away in time. Keep your eye for small snails in the coming weeks. and Grats :D
