I have Diadema setosum, is it reaf safe?

As some one has eat acropora coral--

Tank is app 130 gal no algea, so may be there is not enougt to it, btw.. it has app. 11" long pins..

It may push your rock. Tripneustes gracillis is safer. I have never heard the diadema eats corals, but it is hard to keep them from pushing rock over. As you say, it may have trouble finding food. You may need to supply a macroalgae for it to eat. A diadema of that size will need a lot of algae.

I have one. Beautiful creatures.

They will eat all types of macroalgae.

If you don't have enough to sustain them, you can feed Japanese Sushi seaweed sheets (also known as Nori).

I would consider it reef safe; but, you have to have all your corals glued down.
