I am trying to get a 10 inch bristleworm for weeks now, beacue he killed a lot of Xenia and even some corals. I could see him doing it but was to slow. A trap never worked. So I got the stone out it lived in and poured some fresh water over. Some small worms came out and and gave up after some minutes.

10 Minutes later I saw the worm!!! The peppermint shrips were in alarm swimming at maximum speed through the tank. I tried to grab it but it disapeared! So I waited and waited and then. ***?!!!!

A Peppermint shrimp was pulling it all the way thorugh the tank, eating it!!!!

Who has ever seen that and who is believing me at least?

Oliver

I believe you because I've seen one of my Peppermint's eatin a smaller bristleworm. That's cool!!!

I've also seen them eating smaller ones, that's why I don't have them.

As far as peppermints & other crustacea are concerned a big bristleworm is nothing but a big sausage waiting to be eaten!

Possibly because mine were out at night, and I watched them with a flashlight. :D

I've had them eat an injured bristleworm---I had one get stuck in a filter, rescued him and returned him to my tank; and the rascals ate him.
