I like to see tank pics, I hope you all do too....I try to post some regularly to keep the ball rolling.....I encourage everyone to this more often.......

SO..........

Pics after removing the sand and going barebottom....so far LOVE IT!!!! No blowing around, clearer water, skimmer putting out WAY less, and Alk is solid as a rock(but will probably drop like one as corraline takes over the bottom).

I have the Canon 20D and I have a blast shooting my tanks. I guess I need to get busy posting some photos.

I really like that teal stag, LMK when a frag is available and we can work out a trade or something.

Looks very clean. I like sand and I like bare bottom, what can I say :) Look foward to your results/feelings about it 3-6 months from now. Be sure to update us with any trials/challenges you face that are any different from your perameters that you saw generally with your sandbed. Could be very helpfull.

Gorgeous looking tank!

The only thing that surprises me is that you don't have any starboard type material at the bottom.

That is very neat and clean tank. I'm convince now -- my next tank will be bbt.

I plan to add that later....this was the culmination of a long weekend and finaly deciding on it. Eventually I will think about putting in the starboard, TAP plastics has something simmilar and may add it. However, I am not skippy on the idea of taking out all of the rock.......I managed to take out the sand one measuring cup at a time over the span of last weekend......all 7gals worth....

Hey sac diggity. <----- dramatic gangsta onset.

Nice looking tank. I like the bb too. I have sand. I like both too. Now what?

Anyways. Couldnt help but notice the Strawberry fish/Psuedo chromis/dotty back... who knows what they call them these days? ;)

I used to have one of those for quite some time. Hilarious behavior and superb pod hunters. As they mature you might run into a problem with him killing shrimp twice his size. I actually witnessed my last shrimp get killed.... finally putting and end to the dead shrimps mystery.

Yeah, I have him and two green chromis that I would like to get rid of, but they are more trouble than they are worth.....I agree different personality and suberb hunters......I would eventually like to get him out and add a Sunburst Anthias and some other more "collectable" or rarer fish since I am limiting my fish count so much do to the SPS

Justin, if you are refering to the above I got the butterfly after this to up the fish count to offset the color fading I have had since going barebottom.......it has helped, but the sucker is cornering it and thought I had gambeled correctly since he was swimming back and forth only up until a couple days ago.......
