Also known as a flashlight goby the red headed goby, Gobiosoma puncticulatus doesn't always have the full red head.

Try feeding highly enriched non-processed foods (frozen mysis & enriched brine shrimp) it will eventually color up.

Elacatinus puncticulatus will eat plenty of prepared foods, but you are going to have to make the extra effort to make sure it can be ingested and actually eaten. If the tank is well established, they will feed heavily on the 'pod population and other small invertebrates, also.

he is a fat little thing I don't see putting food in if they dont need it I have an aqua clear 300 and a skilter 20 hob filters filled with sand and rubble for pods to grow I only feed the clown because I dont feel right not feeding him but they are both fat

I would just be sure they both remain well fed in any case. If that is already satisfied, then I would try to get some variety in here and there.

he is eating the pods in the tank. Still try to feed him prepared foods though.
