Night Lighting

Hello, I currently have 2 nocternal blue night lights (each has two LED's per) on a 42" long 55 gallon tank (21" high). these two lights give pretty good lighting up the front of the tank but the back is still quite dark and I would like some advice on how much night lighting is enough and how much is too much. I am looking to add more lights to illuminate the back half but don't want to over do it (is there such a thing with night lighting?)

Could I use a 36" strip along the front and move the two others to the back?

Any advice or help would be great, Cheers!

I would just add enough so you can see what you want and then add a switch or a timer to turn them off when you goto bed
