Will a neon goby eat ich? Does anyone have experience with these fish? Are they hardy, are they resistant to ich? I already have 2 cleaner shrimp who have been cleaning the coral beauty, but not as much as the fish would like. I dont want anymore shrimp, so I thought a neon goby might be helpful.

My coral beauty has been fighting ich, and is doing well. Im wondering if putting a neon goby in the tank would help? Problem is I dont have a quarantine tank. Im not sure what I should do at this point.

Thanks!!!

Neon gobies will clean some ick, but they are very much not resistant to it.
I've found that they work better before the fish is covered. If there are only a few spots on the other fish, they're more useful.

Unfortunately Gobies ,Cleaner shrimp and Cleaner Wrasses are not going to rid your C.B. of ich. Get a qt, remove and treat the fish and leave your main tank fallow for at least 6 weeks..

Agreed. They are a slight prophylaxis at best.
