I dont know if anyone will be able to ID a fish just by my description or not, but I figured it was worth the shot.

The fish had the basic shape of an Angelfish, and it closely resembled the Fire Angel. However, it was much darker shade of red and looked almost like a kind of metalic, crimson red overall.

Was it a Flame Angel and they very in color from rich red to crimson red? Or was it something else? I went to the pet store at the mall before I took my youngest brother to get something to eat and by the time we came back up it was gone and the clerk couldn't tell me.

Was it a rusty, golden, or Shepard's angel? The coloration of flame angels can vary somewhat, but I haven't seen any deep red ones.

Nah, didn't look like any of those really. Do Passer Angels get a dark crimson color?

To be honest I'm not even sre what it looks like anymore.

Start here: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/marine/fishes/angels/index.htm

and the links to specific genera. I'd be surprised if you can't find it here.

Here, try this-- http://www.fishbase.org/identification/specieslist.cfm?famcode=460&areacode=&spines=&fins=

This is a rather expansive list, so you will have to narrow it down some, but if it was an angelfish, you should find it there (unless it is undescribed).
