Great focus. That pic really captures the luminescence they have. How many blurry shots did it take before you caught that one just right?

Canon 20D

It took about 10 shots to finally get one that was this clear. This was over a few days. He moves alot so it's hard to get him in focus!

These are the smallest only getting to a little over 3" and they don't need sand . They are the true workhorse in the tank besides the army of snails.

Predator and parasite control? Feeding corals? looking really cool?

All of the above.

These guys have eaten anything that has every flown of an acro and all day long they are hunting non stop . They are also small enough to get into colonies to go after something they see.

What lens?

I used the 17-85mm IS. Also used the 580 EX flash with a diffuser.

I need to get a nice Macro lens for it.

Yeah I saw a photo of yours in the Fairy Wrasse thread. Didn't realize you had that many of them! That will be an awesome display when you get all 20 of them!

Here's a picture of mine, I think I need to invest in a macro lense. They are really cool fish, have you seen them get mad? They really change color.

This is the first time I have logged into RC for awhile. But I got a laugh when I saw this thread. I just bought a the male and female pair from ATR this morning. They look even better under my T5's then they did in the store. VERY PRETTY FISH! I tossed some flake in about 10 min after they hit the water and they both ate a whole bunch. I will try to get photos, but they are definatly active fish.

Yes and no depends on the region they were collected.

Here is a picture from today with some newly aquired ones.

The female has been around and the males are new . Easy to see the difference .

apparently my g/f got tired of me babbling about them and got the one that pets inc. had :O should I have her take it back or will it be fine in a 60 gallon?

clkwrk
08/22/2006, 08:24 PM
It will be fine . These are the smallest wrasses IMO max is alittle over 3 inches . Also they don't jump as much as my past flasher did . I have lost 1 to jumping in the last 1.5 years and it was one of my females :(

Also one of my newbies found the overfow so its time to flush it into the sump so I can get it back into the display .

EDIT: make that two now

corivus
08/22/2006, 08:31 PM
awwww thats no good. I hope mine will leave the sump alone, its not to bad tho since one would just get stuck in the intake which is gravity fed

edit: ouch time to get some egg crate to cover the over flow :O

another edit: apparently she didn't get it, she couldn't figure out which fairy wrasses it was, should of just told her to get the same one's you did, apparently they where in the store when you picked up yours lol
