It did well for me. I set up a 90 gal with 60 pound of regular and 20 lbs of Arag Alive with 100 lbs of live rock. My tank completely cycled in less than 3 weeks

I think thats fairly normal :D even without live sand. I cured live rock in a rubbermaid with no sand and it took about three weeks.

That aside, I just set up a 10g tank using Aragalive and I never saw a cycle.
