Hey guys,

I've got an old tank that is sitting around growing algae and the wife wants me to get off my butt and put it away. This thing is full of critters (pods, worms, stars, snails, etc..). I have not gotten rid of it b/c I was planning on moving some (a cup or two)of the sand into my new tank.

Well the time has come to get off my butt.

This weekend I'll be taking it down. I'll probably have about 40-50 lbs worth of "live" southdown that I will be getting rid of.

It would certainly motivate me to clean it up if I knew that someone were coming to take it away.

Please note, there is hair algae and a few aips in the tank. And the sand is old, so it will be quite "dirty" (and smelly!). :)

I should be ready on Sunday.

Oh, and I think I still have some dead sand in a 5 gallon bucket if anyone wants it. I can't remember if I dupmed it or not.

It's been out in the rain collecting leaves and crap. It would need to be rinsed before use.
