I was recently on their site and they appareently are in the process of setting up their new store. Does anyone have any new information as to when Ziggy's new place is going to be up and running. I personally can't wait for the new store to open.

Joel the owner of Martin's lives near me and is still doing reef tank setups etc. He can get what ever you need at a good price as he has no overhead store anymore.

Does anyone know if they're hiring?

I'd really be interested in working there.

I live about 5 minutes from the new location. It is going to be a HUGE store. They're now working inside the building. Doing what I have no idea but, I see the doors open and lights on. They have a large sign outside saying that they are coming.

I know that they added doors and windows to the front of the building and I see a lot of activity there. But, they don't have anything outside saying when they are opening.

BTW, I've noticed that the fish factory around the corner has increased their stock and are now going to be open until 9:00 on the weekends so they can keep up with HR. Also, Pets plus in Langhorne has added a LOT of coral tanks and have revamped their Saltwater department. I guess HR has them running scared.

They painted a big mural on the building over the weekend

sorry to go slightly OT here, but i saw the last post about pets plus. As I do every now and then, i stop in the Pets Plus in Conshy in hopes they clean up their SW act. They're under new management, but the SW situation is as poor as ever. I wish somebody could shut them down b/c its literally animal cruelty what they're doing in there. JMO. Can't wait for the TNHR!

And it's only on one side, which makes that rumor that they split that building in 2 to rent the other side out, more feasible.

I don't think the fish factory has a chance against HR. Each time I've been there, when asking them a question.. either fish related and/or equipment related. Their answer... *SHRUGS*

They do have a nice selection of foods though.

I had NO idea they were under new management. Hopefully the new management will have a clue about SW fish or hopefully they'll hire some people that have a clue OR better yet... actually care about the outcome of their live stock.

Its NOT ONLY about the sale....

I've not heard about the rumor. But, it sorta does make sense. That building is huge. I can't imagine needing that much space for the fish and/or fish equipment. Considering the size of the previous store.

I can't wait for the grand opening!!! At least we know.. at the HR... they take pride in their business, they're knowledgeable....
AND actually care about their livestock.

I don't know if anyone has been to World wide Aquarium. They are in Langhorne. They were the place to go 15 years ago but, since have gotten really bad. They guy that ran(or owned I'm not sure) is now running Pets plus in Langhorne. I think he's one of the reasons they have cleaned up their act(pets plus in Fairless hills).

I have heard that THR is going to he half of the building and a custom aquarium maker is going in the other half. Also rumor has that it will be open by then end of the month, but only with dry goods to start while the systems cycle.

i was told by a former employee that ziggy plans to rent the other half of the store as a dance studio, which if it is true will benefit us because, that would help him with his mortage payment and hopefully enable him to keep his prices at or near where they were before the fire.

Very good news indeed. I'm making quite a few changes with my tank.. I'm needing equipment and I'll definitely be wanting good advice. I'm glad to know HR will be there to help me through it....

I cannot wait until their systems cycle.

Ahhh... well then, we'll just see how good they are at CLEANING then?

One can change the name... change the look... even change the products... but the real changes they need... knowledge, quality and care.

Thanks for showing me my ignorance and the lesson in what it takes to sell quality aquarium pets....I was just making an observation that it looks like the other stores are showing what I believe to be some sort of need to keep up with a store that hasn't even opened up yet.
