I have a few of those in my tank, they are small, dont grow fast. Im not sure what they are. But I think some kind of sponge like object, But thats a wildshot in the dark.

Looks like sponge in the first pic, cant' see anything in the second. Try looking . here (http://melevsreef.com/id/) under the Sponges and Gorgonians section.

This and more on the MARS website (http://www.marineaquarist.org/default.aspx) under Links. I'm working on adding more content there.

you should have a close up function, the Icon is of a flower
do that and you should get some nice close up, your hands need to be very steady or it will be blurry.

You can also stand further back and zoom in on it instead of macro. A tripod will help a lot, use a solid object to firmly brace yourself in a pinch.

Or even just a red circle done with paintshop to tell where in the picture to look.

The second picture almost looks to me like a type of anemone that grows in my tank and comes out at night. Kinda orange/pink body and white dots on the tenticles? Mine kinda look like those anemones that grow all over the CA coast just with a lot less color. Or the my be some kind of zoo.

Possibly a Pseudocorynactis sp.?

If so they are a relative of mushroom corals. They look superficially similar to Balanophyllia, which is an azooxanthellate stony coral found off our coast. Looks a bit like a transparent sun coral.

it has been harder to take a clearer picture of this stuff so i decided to pull it out. i took out all my chaeto and put it in a 10gal until i pick up my new sump from Pico1. i also took out the LR and brushed the livinghell out of that area. so far, it looks better. i'll keep everyone posted. and thanks for all the suggestions. i tired to take the pciture with teh macro but it keep turnign on the flash automatically. its just been a pain and it won't focus on the coral, instead it focuses onto the rocks. im pretty dumb when it comes to close up shots and my digi cam was an expensive one which i dont know how to use. :p
