I bought a maxi-jett 1200 the other day, and for the life of me, I can not get the top suction cup to stick. It is driving me up the wall!!!

Tips, or suggestions would be great.

Thanks!!!

Did you cleaned the glass?

I gave up using suction cups....got too frustrated....

Now I either hang them from the sides, or glue them to a mag float.

Yes, I have cleaned the glass numerous times.

I thought about hanging them from the side, but I need it farther down than that.

For gluing them to a mag float, what size mag float do you use?

What kind of glue do you use?

That seems to be kind of an expensive option, or is it?

I think super glue can do the job.

I used the hanging brackets that came with the MJ. The suction cups will eventually fail and your powerhead will fall into the substrate.. I wouldn't trust them.

I have used the medium and the large mag-floats. Watch the used goods forum from time to time.....you can find glass cleaners for pretty good prices and I really can't think of anything that could go wrong with a magnet.

I have used super glue, but others have used an epoxy.

I can't find the threads that covered this....
