Have a question. My LR tank is a 120 gallon, all the LR is cured Fiji. I would like to entertain adding some uncured Florida LR just because I think the amount of critters on it makes it more appealing. Is it ok to mix these types, or should I just stick with what I have.

Diceman,

I have a 55g which used to have 30 lbs of cured fiji, then a week later I added 30 lbs of uncured rock from gulf-view. They look very different, the fiji is more porous, lighter, and has better shapes. The gulf view is heavy but LOADED with life. You can mix the two for a nice setup.

Since you'll be curing the rock, make sure you have no fish or invertebrates in the tank. I would also suggest scrubbing the florida rock with an old tootbrush in some old tank water. Gulf view rock had quite a lot of dirt on it.

This is a picture of the "Gulf Rock" I was thinking of adding.
