I read the previous threads about the Bubble Coral shrinkage at night etc ... here's my BC story.
I've had my BC for about 2 years and this coral was huge and opened every day and prorbably a dull white in color. One day I made a change to the tank and made it too quick and the drastic change sent the BC into some sort of shock. It shrunk up and didn't come back.
It eventually came back but never quite as big as it was previously.
Lesson learned: never make drastic changes to your water!
Since I have added my MH to the tank, the BC has changed its color to a bright white and I notice alot more tentacles sweeping at night. So my theory is that these animal change with their environment depending on lighting, flow, and water parms.
