My new green bubble is about two weeks old and it seems to expand Ok during the day, but at night it completely recedes and pretty much the only thing you can see is the pronounced skeleton. You can see a small amt of the bubbles but the coral skeleton is very visible.
I have it on the bottom in the sand, my lights are 10k, 250MH, and the coral is about 14 inches from the lights. I'm just a bit concerned about its well being. I do have considerable flow in the tank that alternates.
I'm not so sure there is a quite area in the tank with low flow.
No nuicence algae ...ever (I hope I don't eat those words)

the bubbles receding at night is normal, not sure if yours is a little too much though, but if its coming back out during the day sounds ok. at night do the feeder tentacles come out?

Still normal. I would give it some more time to completely settle in. I have had mine for ten years and it still does that at night from time to time.
