my trumpet coral is white... at night when i shine a flash light intot he tank( yes he is fully inflated)

then first thing in the morning he is a VERY NICE turqois color
then throu out hte day( ( 1 hour after sun up it starts. 4 hours later it stops) the color seems to lighten to pale green and stays that way the rest of the day.... whats going on

Maybe you have the coral too high up on the rockwork and the light is bleaching it. If you can take some pics, that might help as well.

I've never heard of them changing colors throughout the day.. is it possible that it is the differnt types of lighting throughout the day that is making them look different? Either that or like kaserpick said maybe they're getting bleached..

well its VHO lighting on a dimmer... so its the same light just less in the morning ( even tho it dosnt start to change colors till a few hours after bulbs reach 100 percent
