I just picked up my first Dendros from Mike (thecaptivereef). I have mine placed pretty low with lots flow. Is that ok?

How often do you feed your Dendros? 3 times a week? What do you feed?

Thanks,

James

Great!

I have one from Mike as well :)

Feed them just as you would any other dendro. I feed mine mysis mainly but they'll eat chopped up silversides and other meaty stuff too.

Here's a pic of mine for fun...

mine eat anything meaty and even take prime reef flakes. i feed them a few times a week. the more you feed the bigger they get it's actually really fun for me. i've even fed them food that is almost the same size as the polyp and it'll eat it. One of my all time favorite corals.

here's a couple pics after feeding some clam. the large head got huuuuge, about 1.25 across.

I feed mine once a week, mix of cyclop's, mysis, and brine. If I'm feeling salty, I'll feed some cut up shrimp. I've had mine from Mike for a year, and started with 1 adult, and now have 13polyps total.
