Not quite sure. At least a 4-5 years old. It was only in use for about 1-1/2 years and then packed away. I had been using it for water changes.

How big is the unit in comparison to the 1400 or the 1700 which are both the same physical size. Wouldn't mind trying it in my Remora Pro fi ti will fit in the pre-filter box.

I am not really familiar with the 1700. However, I looked up the specs and it appears that the 2500 isn't much larger. Actual measurements of the box (not including the nozzle) are 5"x3"x4" with the plastic cover on that goes on the inlet side.
