Does anyone who has AC have a water chiller I can use for a day or so? I have power now, but for some reason our Central Air units are not running? So I have water flow but the temps are rising. My tank is sitting at around 88 right now, so if you have a water chiller I would be willing to pay you to use it for a day or so. If not, Ill continue with the bags of ice. Thanks.

I don't have a water chiller, but I found small ziplock bags of ice helped considerably!

Yea, I want to do that, but havent been able to find ice. Ive already used the ice I had as well as all my frozen steaks etc from my freezer. I tried to find ice last night but everyone is sold out. Today I may try and drive further around town looking for ice. It takes a lot of bags of ice though to keep 110 gallons cool.

yesterday morning, I went to shop and save (gravois and spring in stl) and they didn't have any, but i asked the manager and said they would be getting some in a half hour. when i went back in 45 mins, they were almost half out again...

Moral of the story, ask the manager, then either call when it suposed to be there or just hang out there till it shows up.

I'm sure people who have power can give you ice....where are you at?

Thanks all. I managed to find ice in Maryland Heights yesterday and dropped the tank tem down to around 82. Then since last night was cool, it has remained at around 80. Today shouldnt be as hot, so I think I am ok...for now. Just hoping the AC comes back soon. But I tell you, since the Power to the building and the Central Air units outside are running off two different transformers, thank God the one controlling power came back on first. Its much easier now to keep the tank cool with lower temps than it would have been to find alternative energy to keep the water circulating. I survived with only loosing a 6line wrasse (who was brand new) and 2 shrimp. While I hate the losses, that is a minimal as I could have possibly hoped for. Once again, thanks all.

As a suggestion. I keep gallon jugs of water frozen in my deep freeze normally. They come in real handy for keeping food frozen a few days longer and in a jam they can be pulled out for the tank.

Good idea scruffy. Thats much better than using all my frozen pork chops and steaks I had before I could find ice :-)

I guess you could fire up the grill, as they get to room temp cook them and keep eating. And eating, and eating,,,,,,,

Yea, all my friends loved me yesterday. Free cookout at Todd's house. Unlimited Steak, Pork and Chicken. Little did they know that it sat in an aquarium for hours before. :-D
