CA How high is to high?

I tested with a kit from aquarium pharmaceuticals today and my levels tested at 500ppm. I would assume that this is not truely accurate as I believe salifert kits are better, but I kind of wondered what would be to high.

I don't know exactly how much is to much but I do know that the higher the CA it will effect your PH and Alk, so check those and make sure they are within safe range.

the oceans levels are roughly: CA 420ppm PH 8.2 and dropping Ak 2.5 meg/l

600ppm would b too high by my standards

500 ppm is a little high, but it won't hurt anything. 450 ppm is the high end of the usual recommended zone.
