Hi Guys,
I made the mistake of spraying an acrylic sump of mine with ethanol, not too smart. It cracked right away, lots of thin cracks with a few going all the way through. Is it junk? Should I bother siliconing it?

If it has cracks going all the way through I personally wouldn't even think about using it. Is there anyway you can replace the cracked piece or maybe glue another piece over it?

I have to ask... :) Why? Were you trying to clean it?
Can you post a macro of the cracks?

Looks like I'll just put it in the trash.
I was cleaning it with 70% ethanol as it had come off one of my freshwater systems and I wanted to sterilize it a bit, very stupid I know.
No pics of it, probaley for the best, as it's a pretty bad sight, the cracks showed up within a few seconds of spraying it.

FFR, I bought one of those Eureka steam machines (floor model), and in under an hour turned a sump that you could not even see through (bought used) into the following.
