I am going to add 2 more T5 ho 54 watt lights to my 75, I called around locally for the ballast, I talked with the owner of a electrical / lighting supply, he said that he could order me a Workhorse 5, but that the GE Max or Universal brands electronic ballast - 4 x 32 watt T8 were the same thing as a WO 5 and can be wired any way and run any bulb that the WO 5 can, that even though they were labeled for 4 - 32 T8 the insides were the same. Does anyone know if this is true or false ?

Thanks
Chris

What you are looking for is Programmed start and end of life protection. Not sure about those 2 ballast mentioned being the same as a WH5 but if they are then like the Workhore they have neither program start or end of life.
