Just want opinions on whether or no this would be an overkill for my 29g
i was wanting to do two 150w 10k with 24'' tek light 2x24 T5 pure actinic's
on a 29g
im thinking thats 2 much?
any ideas

I have heard of people putting a 400w MH over a 29g.

Your 150 + T5's will NEVER even come close to matching the sun. So no. It is not overkill if your inhabitants will require powerful lighting.

why not 1x250 or 1x400 for the MH?
I did 1x250 on a 36" 40BR and it covered fine

i already have a 150w MH
and i got a 150w coralife aqualight MH ballast for 20 bucks soo iwas sein if i did both of those with t5 for actinics if it would be an overkill

What bulb are you running? If you want to up your PAR try the EVC 10K bulb. If you like the pretty blue light add the actinics, your corals could care less.
