Thinking about upgrading to the brand of light, 3x250mh and actinics. Any thoughts on this brand? mixed LPS, SPS, Sofites, clams etc..

Yeah, I have them also in the 150 version and like the setup, also. I have clam, Anenome, and SPS. Great all in one package and controlable lighting system. ie: can have, dawn, day, dusk timers However, I am going to an all SPS tank and need more lighting at the bottom, so I am selling mine and upping to the 250's in the same model.

For a mixed tank you may not need the 250s, the 150's may be enough and cheaper in the long run.....

Do you think the 150's would be enough for a tank with Clams (maxima and crocea's) or should I jump the gun and get the 250's and be done with it? Price is the other factor, cheapest place I've found is www.aquariumsandmorelv.com and www.marineandreef.com

I think if you are going to spend that much $ on MH lighting, at least consider some of the other brand lighting fixtures that utilize T5 supplemental lighting like the Geisemann, Aquamedic, or SLS.

I myself researched those, and found that I liked the packaging, style, and ability to control the system with the coralife.
