lighting config for 24x18x18 square tank

well I am sort of trying to decide between lighting configurations for my tank


t5s for a 24" tank I could do 4x24, which is only 96 watts

for cheaper than that set up I can do 175MH + 2x75W VHOs
this is 325W


it seems that option 2 is better

does anyone have a better "middle ground" suggestion for my lighting

I will be keeping all kinds of corals and maybe clams

18" tall or 24" tall? I like option 2.

For 18" wide you could go with 6x24 T5s. I think I still like your option 2, though.
