pump choice

hi guys,
any suggestions for me on a pump question.
i have a lil giant (3-mdqx-sc) in line for my 240. i am moving up to a 300.
i was thinking of a mag 36 that i used to stir up my water change as a submersible in my sump. do they raise the water temp? the mag seems awefully loud in a 55g trash bin i use to mix water. would it be that loud in a sump?

Any pump placed into a tank of water will raise the temp. Don't believe anybody that tells you differently. :)
