Hi all

Has anybody done any modifications to the Red Sea Berlin Classic XL skimmers ? Like removing the centre tube ?

Also, what is the ideal size pump to run on this skimmer ?

The only mod that I've seen on Berlin skimmers is using a 1/2" Kent or Mazzei venturi in leiu of the one that is already on the skimmer. Just remove the cone fitting in the skimmer intake, plug the air inlet and install the venturi fitting and pump. I've seen them run with a Mag9 and 12 and they pull out much more than before and pumpwise, seem to skim the same.
