I had a question about the care and feeding of these guys. I have had mine for about 3 weeks and it seems to keep opening up and closing. Not seeming happy. In a 29 gallon tall with 2x 65 watt PCs. I have been feeding kent marine zooplex. water is fine. Anything else I should know?
Thanks

did you do any research before buying the coral?

They need a sandy bottom and bright light (more than what you have!). And like to be fed meaty foods.

You should research these beutifull creatures before buying them....

You dont have enough light, plus they have horrible survival rates.

Anyone noticed how many post we get about these?? They really need to stop importing these

I had a nice sized green and neon green long tenical in a 55 Gallon with 220Watts of PC's in my old tank and it did well. It was in low flow with direct light sitting on the sad bed. I fed it twice a week with cyclopeeze directly into it's mouth after getting it to open with a teaser shot of cyclopeeze. I think it is ht or miss with long tenical plates like elegance corals. Try feeding it meaty foods.
