I ordered from reefscience.com. The batch I got wasn't the most aesthetically pleasing as far as shapes go, but the rock was teeming with life.

Why two different types? They look radically different...Indo LR and Caribbean LR is not a good combo IMO.

i think for the price tbs gives you alot more, considering you get sand, and critters, and i think everyone thats got their rock seems to be very happy, but man that indo rock looks goood. man is everything about this hobby a dilema lol.

I purchased 100lbs of Reefscience Indonesia live rock last week and 100lbs of Premium Aquatics Marshal Island uncured live rock this week. Since live rock is a large investment ($$$), I read many posts and concluded that these two suppliers are very good and I wouldn’t be disappointed based upon reviews. I haven’t done any aquascaping and I placed all the Reefscience rock on the left side of the tank and Premium Aquatics on the right side of the tank. The difference is huge and both are great rock. Reefscience rock has life all over the rock. The rock has a lot of plant life and some of the rock has many small tube worms. I saw three hermit crabs and nudibranches (I think?…) The Marshal island Rock is very different and has less life. I like the shape of the rock and larger sizes.

I had both rocks shipped overnight. I will have to give Reefscience 4 stars for packing. They used a styrofoam box with strong clear bags to hold the rock. In addition they included an ice pack to keep all the contents cool. Premium Aquatics packing was very good and they individually wrapped all the rock in paper and placed in a bag. This may be a weird to say but both rocks smells ok. They didn’t smell rotten.

I have a poor man’s camera and took many pics. Some of the pictures are with the flash on and off: http://www.sprunger.smugmug.com/gallery/1399863

Wow! I am ordering soon. Anybody want to update their rock/tank pics as six months have gone by?
