Has anyone had any experience with this creature? I do have a couple of small Aptaisia in my tank and would like to get rid of them before they spread but would rather not put any foreign chemicals into my tank if at all possible? Here is a link to someone selling them on eBay...does this look legit and a fair price? http://cgi.ebay.com/Aiptasia-Eating-Berghia-Nudibranchs-Live-Coral_W0QQitemZ140001406990QQihZ004QQcategoryZ46308QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem (http://http://cgi.ebay.com/Aiptasia-Eating-Berghia-Nudibranchs-Live-Coral_W0QQitemZ140001406990QQihZ004QQcategoryZ46308QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

what will you do with it once it eats the Aptaisia? Try some of the other methods first, Kalwasser, Lemon Juice, Joe's Juice or Boiling Water.

I was thinking of that too. It would seem unfair (and a waste of money) to get this nudi, have it eat the aptasia and then starve to death. On the other hand you have to be so cautious with the chemicals as it could really effect your water chemistry not to mention hurt some of your corals. I might try the syringe w/vinegar route as that seems the least invasive and has been proven effective.

Purchase it, and once its done its job, pass it along to another reefcentral member. They are in pretty high demand.

I like to think natural control is the best contol when properly implimented, and this is a win-win situation IMO.

You can always purchase Aptaisia from that guy on ebay for him! LOL!

Who has acctually had these things and did the work to kill the aptaisia ...did the aptaisia come back after taking the berghia out
or is this a lot of hype for aptaisia eating slugs to make money

Using kalk really shouldn't be a big concern. I add kalk (granted in a less concentrated dose) to my aquarium every day, as do many reef keepers.
