Some Newbie not knowing any better will probably bid on them, and once they realize what they bought, they will kick themselves hard. I noted the name of the seller and will never buy anything from him.

Worth a shot, haha. He at least lets you know what you are getting. I do feel bad for some newbie out there though

Thats horrible. I had to post a note to the seller:

"Im sorry, but you have to know that this auction and the aptasia auction you are selling what is generally considered "pests" in aquariums. Aptasia is generally a nuisance and unwanted in aquariums, and spreads at an alarming rate. Cyano, is also something not usually wanted in a tank. Either you know this and youre trying to make a quick buck off someone, or maybe you didnt. Im sure one can justify some remote reason for having either of these in a tank, but its not common, and really should be sold in this manner. But...if someone wants to pay you for it, I guess good for you!"

WOW it is crazy to see those auctions. But I would say that some butterflyfish owners do want aptasia's so I can see that auction.

But the Cyano -- OMG what a sham

on a side note, I saw a TV show about possible terraforming Mars and they actually said that cyanobacteria would be the best thing to put up there to make the atmosphere oxygen rich -- that it produces more then trees. It made me wonder if it might actually help tanks in that regard.

The real joke is that the seller is probably the newbie thinking he's aquaculturing.

I needed a good laugh today -- thanks

He's not doing anything all those info-commercials aren't doing late at night, there's people that buy them, it's the buyers job to look into it first.

by the way, both auctions are over, and nobody played the fool, yay.

I responded to him too. He got back to me saying it was a laugh for everyone, and the reserve was set at $500 so no one could buy the items.

I have some hardy planaria flatworms if anyone is interested. They will add a decorative splash of colour to any (and all) reef aquarium rockwork.
