Just wanted to post a pic of my trumpet coral Caulastrea echinulata. I've had it since October. When I bought it there were only 7 heads, so it's been splitting nicely. I waited for months for the LFS to get one in with this color. I can normally never get a decent pic, so I took about 15 shots to get a good one.

i'm in a pic sharing mood tonight, so if i may,
we have one the same color as your's. have had it better than a year now. Since this pic, we have switched from 96watt pcs actinic and 67k daylight to 96watt 03 and 10k daylights. boy does this ever glow, when we come home after dark and the 03 is on, its the first thing you can see pulling in the drive.

Your right. It glows so much, it's the first thing you notice when looking at the tank. Under actinic it looks as if it has a light inside it, it's glowing so much. One reason why I have such a hard time taking a pic is that the coral looks too bright and the pic ends up being all off. background is too dark and the coral ends up too bright.

Thanks guys.

sci33, I bought the coral at Country Critters.

What type of care are you giving it?

Nothing, it's about halfway down the tank, some of the lighting is a bit muted, a montipora is growing above it. So far I have not fed it, I do feed the tank ESV sprayed-dried phytoplankton a few times a week. The heads are very small, each one about the size of a dime.

By the way I Love your signature! what coral is that?
An Acropora. I think it is Acropora batunai.

While we are on the subject of corals from your tank, I'm wondering if you have any info on this coral that I saw at your website... it's one amazing acropora.

I need to update my website. That acro RTN'd on me. Total loss. I was pretty upset about it. :(

The good news is that was the only acro affected.
