i want it to consume nitrate and phosphate faster.
i have read that doseing iron will hit the spot.

i dont know if i can get ahold of fertilizer that doesnt contain phosphates. i will take a 2nd look around the pet stores.

is there anything else i can add to a reef tank that will help my chaeto go crazy? i have 2 lights that melev recomended, and 8 gallon volume to grow. i dose trace elements as well.

dont do anything.. it will grow as it removes waste from the water.. if it stops growing then it has done it job

If it is iron limited than dosing iron could help speed its growth, as long as there is also enough NO3 and PO4 to meet its needs.
