Title should say it all. I'd like one for a week to prove/disprove some of my mad scientist musings but I'm definetely not in the market for one.

I remember seeing a camera light meter that was sealed with silicone. I do not think that it measures PAR though. Check with HSC or epon.

Pretty sure thats HCS's lux meter. I think you might beable to do some fancy mad scientist calculations and derive par from lux but not sure.

lux can be converted to PAR. you must know (very specifically) the light source (i.e. you must have the manufacturer, wattage, and kelvin value).
for natural sunlight, you just divide the lux by 50 (or multiply by 0.02).
i have some lists for many of the more popular lamps and their conversions.
