Ya I agree, $40 per polyp is rediculous.

I understand every business wants to make a profit, but since when did ricordea become rare and hard to propagate? $40 per polyp is the type of pricing that keeps me out of stores like that. I'd never pay more then $20 per polyp...:(

Word has it that you are employed by "In Living Color"

I'm going to ask you point blank if that is true.

I wouldn't doubt it.

Just a question,

Are local stores allowed to post in our Philly Reef Club forum? I thought there was some allowance for that so long as they are not selling on the internet, just local sales on site. Am I mistaken?

I understand the no shilling policies , etc...I just thought we used to have some leeway in the local forums...

Thanks for any clarification....

BTW, I don't know the employment status of the person in question here.....:) it's just a general question.

Stores and employees of those stores aren't allowed to post about the store. violation of the [ua]. They also can't post items for sale.

We "used" to be able to have the leeway in this forum.

It's quite possible that you perceived it that way, but the forum rules have always prohibited even sponsors from hawking their wares anywhere on the board other than their own forum.
We do things this way so that you, the everyday member is not bombarded with post after nefarious post attempting to sell you something.
We are currently working on something that might allow "inside" info on special sales and the like from local fish stores that sponsor a given club. Please allow us time to work out the bugs, and if we can, we'll implement it.
As of right now, the rules stand as they are, if you have an interest in a business, you may not use Reef Central to pimp that business.

OK, thanks for the clarification:) I do look forward to the ability to do this in the future, if it can be worked out.
