Okay any Lounger's want to help me out??? I forget how I did it last year... When my pretty flowers die, what is the best way to remove them from my plant??? I'm thinking the best way is to remove it from the stem part, but the neighbor is telling me to just pull off the dead flower and let the ramaining part there... I would think that removing it from the stem is the right way, as they fall off like that onto my porch...

Thanks,
Christy...:)

Oh, you're showing off....every time I try fuschia, white fly arrives and that's that. Looks wonderful on everyone else's balconies.

I just pull the flower gently and a bit of the stem comes off with it, like you said thats how they fall off. What color do you have? I like the purple and magenta my husband like the pink and white.

I had them last year, if I had my pick I'd have gotten the lighter pink ones that I had last year, but these are really pretty tooo, red and sorta purplish in color :) ...

Sorry Sk8tr, I just water them and give my plants miracle grow when I think about it, although not very happy this year, I miss my impatients out front... Sooo I'll be shopping tomorrow, and I'll just take them out and put them in a big planter box that I've not used in years...

should I just pluck the flower out or snip the whole stem???

You should actually snip them before they start to form the seed pod. Otherwise it is taking energy away from the flowers

I just let them drop

You can also bring them in for the winter & then put them back out in Spring :)

I agree with Dave!:D I have a small pair of spring loaded scissors and snip as I water.
