I'm getting a 29 gallon acrylic tank and I want to add and acrylic overlfow in the corner. Has anyone added one before that they built from acrylic, and how did you install. I wanna use weld on #4 and the pin method, but not 100% sure.

I've built and used about 15 overflow boxes out of acrylic. The first one I built it as cheap as possible. It worked but it looked terrible and funny.

How you build it will be determined by what tools you have access to.

Do you have access to Router table? Table saw, Strip heater? Propane torch? CNC?

Here's a pic of my overflow box.

I know melevsreef very well, thanks. I am wanting to put an internal overflow and drill my tank. I know how to build the overflow itself, installing it is going to be the hard part, sorry for not explaining myself all the way.
