I thought about trying to hijack Michelle's thread, but it was so far off topic that I figured I'd be better off starting a new thread. ;)

I've got the standard smaller pink & black bristle worms and I've noticed them hanging out around my zoanthids a lot. Do they pose any threat to them? One of the worms in particular had its head all over one of my zoanthids and I noticed the zoas tend to retract when the bristleworms play in them. Can the bristleworms actually damage the corals, or are they just annoying them?

Thanks,
-Kevin

They'll clean between them. The corals react when their 'eyelashes' are brushed. Their closing will actually help the bristleworms cleaning.

My zoo colonies seem to be waste traps. The bristleworms congregate where the waste is.

Ah, that all makes sense. Thanks.
