I have pulsing xenias that are outta control. They are spreading like wild fire in my tank. I took it to a couple of fish stores, but they do not trade.

There isn't any fish store near me, so Im not going to drive another 40mins..

Should I throw them out? What do you guys do when your corals wont stop growing?

Anyone near the Phila, PA region who wants to trade? I have a 6-7inch massive healthy xenia.

thanks:mixed:

yeah I have the same problem. Nobody wants to see me coming anymore cause I always have some in hand. I try to control it by trying to keep it isolated or at the top so it won't invade some more territory. I have tried to ship it to people just for the cost of shipping but it always melts. So I just throw it in the back yard by the handfuls.

yea it seems like we just have to trim it like we trim our hedges...

hmm, so I should look at xenias like plants, and not animals.. id hate throwing a live fish out..

rite?

Do people actually purchase it from ebay? How do you package it?

First couple times, I sold them to people around my area. Then later I gave them out. Now I just trade them to my toilet. :)

I decided to put this on ebay. It is a LARGE size xenia. Approx 6-7 inch in size!!

I will ship it overnight to anyone in USA. I basically do not make anything from this sale. A xenia at a store goes for $20 for a 1-2incher. It will cost me like $10 just to package and bag it.

Search ebay for: Live Xenia Coral - pulsing xenia large size

Let me know if you have questions.

Xenia can become a niusence, i try to isolate them so they dont attach to my main rocks because they spread like weeds. I got most of my other coral from Xenia trades at local LFS.
