Would dropping in say...a plastic millenium falcon...in my 55 gallon tank hurt anything?

I used to put weird stuff (Mr. Potato Head, etc.) in the middle of my star polyps to get it to grow on them. Kinda like a Chia-Pet.

I don't know if that is always true. Don't some plastics have the ability to leach chemicals into SW?

Yes that is true. Not really in the plastic but in some of the paint that is on it. Certain paints will break down and leak into the system.

watch out for angry wookies. they can really mess up a tank, they're really hairy and can clog up your filter :)
