It's 96Lx36Wx36H and as far as relaxing , I don't think so! I have to admit I was so worried about climbing in with a big drill. I kept thinking, what if I drop it or it gets away from me. It was wearing me out too after the first few until I got smart and used my legs :) Hubby took over to finish them from the out side as it is an inch thick. He's still working on the sump and building it out of an older 240 we had. Hes adding a platform off the back to make it easier to get to. Between the tank, stand and bar, I think he's out done himself this time!

This is our 220 that we are taking down and moving all to the new 540. We then plan on using the 220 for an agressive tank as hubby loves lions, puffers, and triggers.

yeah thats a cool tank, my 600 was fun to drill, I had several 2" holes to put in it. What size is the sump? I did a 150 but wish I had gone with about a 200, the thing will overflow in a power outage, as there is so much surface area to drain.

This is fantastic! You guys are doing an awesome job! I've always done my own stand and tank set up as well, and I know that at some point it isn't as much fun and you question why you ever started, but when you're finished there is that great sense of satisfaction once you see the finished product and you start getting the compliments from family and friends, and of course those of us on RC that admire your work as well.
Thanks for sharing and please keep posting pics.
This is a great project!

love it!

also it's nice to see other chicks getting down and dirty in the hobby. we're severely outnumbered i think.

looks like you may have to swim in it to clean it.

have fun!

I feel your pain....

The thickness on the sides of this tank was 1.25", my wrists were a little sore the next day! Now I wish I had gone to the last COMAS meeting!

Look'n good keep posting those pics. That skimmer and 240gallon sump/tank looks familiar. Did you get them from Heart's Desire, the fish store on 39th and Macarthur that went out of business about 10 years ago?

G.

Yes they did, actually I thought I had said something to you after seeing you with the same tank! But then a again there are still several around here that I know about and I might be thinking of one of those.

Hey ReefShadow
I'm with ya girlfriend! Besides we know how much that lighter touch contibutes to the finished project! After all, you need that perfect frame to showcase your masterpiece or some is lost.

Very nice, Pamela. It was a joy to see it. And use your wetbar ;)

Paul, would it count if I had enough small tanks to have 600+ gallons?
