help with downloaded font

hi i downloaded a font and i cant install it? I don't know how to do it. I found a site and it said to go fonts, then file, install new font, but i got a message that said "no new fonts to install" or something like that.

Do you have a MAC or a PC?

If you have a PC, drag the font file you downloaded into the Fonts folder (Control Panel>Fonts) and it should automatically install.

navigate through your 'windows' folder to the 'font' folder, open the folder, then drag & drop the new font into the font folder. Viola font installed.

You do know which folder the font downloaded to... don't you?
