Put in your winxp disk and follow the directions. It should prompt you to either re-install the windows system software or format first and then install.

yeah do what raddogz said, do you know if it is a sata Hard drive? If it is I would read up on hot to do it before you format.

Hi all, go it done, I forgot to back up my email address however so have lost them.
Then my network card doesnt have a driver floppy for it, so ran to walmart to buy a new network card, so am now back up and running fast.
Amazing how much junk is collected over the years and cleaning it out has really sped up my computer.
Thanks all

Do yourself a favor and make a system restore point. That way once you have it like you want it........... you can go back in case of disaster.

A format is the best refresh your computer could ask for. Thanks

What is your anti-virus. Type "AVG free edition" in yahoo. Great free anti-virus. Offers more protection than most purchased software. I prefer it over any pay for antivirus program

Great Idea, will do that now, I have Avg and have it installed as well as 2 different spyware eliminators.
Thanks

No problem. Xp makes things easy.
