I'm "feeding" my corals by using bucketfulls of
ocean water from a local beach where water temps are in the low 60s in the summer.

I have noticed that I get extreme polyp extension in all my corals as soon as I put the water in, which I take to mean that there is a lot of food in there.

I'm wonderinf if there is just as much phyto and zoo in cold ocean water as there would be on the reef?
Is there any benefit to using cultured phyto such as DTs?
