Ya im a newbie but weren’t you all…money is tight so if u got any spare parts laying around like any person with a tank dose and want to help me out .I would love to have them if they are somewhat useful contact me porsche_911_g_force@hotmail.com im definitely looking for a used skimmer don’t got much money for it though

i know this is probabuly the wrong spot to be posting this but meh...

also what filtration should i be looking for in a simple 20 gal setup?

seriously though. this hobby is expensive. When you buy cheap stuff it's like throwing your money away because the S#%T never works to begin with. Save your money and buy a quality skimmer, it's one of the best investments on a tank. Cheers

But a cheep skimmer dose work some and can be better than nothing I have a jebo180 on my 20 gal tank and it takes out a lot of bad stuf. I had a O ring leak and left it off for 2 or 3 weeks, one day I was looking over the O ring and found out it just was not seated good so that fixed that. So I started the skimmer back up and in a day or two my water was a lot cleaner and clearer mad a difference.

lol, wish someone would donate parts for a reef to me...single mom here!

Here's a good savings idea (esp since you probably still dont pay rent or mortgage) For every dollar you spend put 25 cents into a jar and call it your reef savings account.

It bought me 20 lbs of live rock last week...takes a while to get there but its better than nothing.
