Classic. Back when I was a bartender, we would do that -- to see who got to sit down and have a beer & and smoke, and who would have to wash the glasses. I still have dish pain hands 5 years later ;)

oh that's just hysterical! i'm surprised one of the attorneys didn't object, file a motion to reconsider, and demand a hearing.

when we were kids, we didn't use that method to settle stuff. my dad would put boxing gloves on me and my brother and let us duke it out. i won 9 times outta 10. i bit my brother's ear off once. ;)

I get it, when an attorney gives you a paper you cut it up, and then hit the attorney with the rock.

Paper is actually the most challenging of the basic opening moves since it requires the manual displacement of the most digits. It is therefore generally viewed as the least obvious of opening throws. Should you open with a paper be forewarned that a reply of scissors will cut you down to size in no time flat.
