So I came across a thread about a skimmer being sold by a sponsor. I looked. It was cheap! I wondered where it was made and assumed China. After reading the description shown there was no way to know where it came from.

Does anyone know if there are requirements for internet retail sellers to let us know the country of origin of a product before we buy it? I've been looking at furniture online and they normally do say what the c/o is. I know everything imported must be marked with c/o. But, if we've already bought it and thought it was/could be [German] made and we got cheap China, Taiwan, Bangladesh, made we have no choice but to accept it in most cases.

Just struck my curiosity and wondered if anyone here knows the internet's regulations about this subject.

I'm guessing it's up to you to get the details before purchasing.

Buyer beware

No way to enforce a law like that globally

perhaps call the vendor and ask? they probably have more insight into where the product was manufactured.
