to all of you that have nanocubes (JBJ/aquapods), do they scratch on the outside Easily? I have a cat that goes nuts over my Lizard (Leapord Gecko), especially whenever i feed him, and he scratches at the tank. I have had QT tanks set up on my desk and he has left them alone for the most part, but im afraid that if i do get a nano, and go adding hermits, shrimp and small fish he might be attracted to them. He cant access my big tank because he cant reach it. what do you think, will his nails easily scratch the tank?

Thanks,

Jeff

ahh, i was under the impression that they were acrylic because of the curved glass. I verified, and you are right, it is glass, so i guess i really dont have to worry about scratches, now i just got to worry about cracks/breaks. I remember reading a while ago on older models would crack easily, is this still an issue? Is the glass on a nano thicker then a standard AGA?

thanks again,

Jeff

I have an 12g aquapod and It came in perfect shape, no crack/broken glass nothing, and IT would take alot to scratch it,, I think, expecially from a cat LOL, well good luck

I got it at pet solutions, and they matched the price of the one on Marine Depot special they had going, so it was a good deal..

Nano Cubes not Aquapods

The newest 24g nanocubes now have thicker glass. The other sized (12g, 6g) never had cracking problems. There was a recall on the 12g (I think that size only) aquapods due to some wiring issue in the lights.

Next month Oceanic is coming out with their nano-sized systems. They should be good.
